About 1000 MORE

This is a movement to make democracy accessible to all people.

Elected officials' main concern is re-election. Oftentimes, lobbyists and special interest groups have more power to get them re-elected than average citizens. This app allows constituents to obtain the upper- hand by facilitating education and collective power. Once our users are regularly reading about policies and voicing their opinions, their elected officials will become more accountable to them. Furthermore, the crowdfunding piece will allow people to compete with the big lobby financially. When our elected officials answer to us, our interests will be better represented and that will change people's lives from where we live (affordable housing), to what we eat (food policy), to what the next generation will learn in school (education).

In 5 years, people will be saying, "How did we learn about legislation that was moving through congress before 1000 MORE? How did we tell our legislators how we wanted them to vote on each bill? How did we crowdfund advocacy efforts on policies?" The next generation won't believe it when we tell them, "We didn't."
